Inspections in Ayeyawaddy : Deputy Minister inspects embankment protection

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw on August 12 inspected the water-monitoring station, embankment, and riverbank conditions in Eik Pyat Village Tract, Hinthada Township of Ayeyawaddy Region.

During the inspection, he instructed officials to implement embankment protection measures, conduct continuous water patrols, ensure the rapid transport of stockpiled emergency supplies to required areas, and arrange contingency plans for additional supplies via land and water routes if needed.

Also, the Deputy Minister inspected the strength of the embankment in Zalun Township. He discussed and instructed officials to carry out timely embankment reinforcement and preventive measures, as well as to conduct flood protection awareness demonstrations and drills.

Additionally, on August 10, the Deputy Minister inspected the structural integrity of the Ngawun Sluice Gate in Tha Khut Chaung Village, Laymyethna Township, as well as sandbar formation along the Ngawun River, riverbank erosion, and the status of erosion protection measures near Aing Tha Pyu Village, where technical coordination and discussions were held.
