Youth Affairs: Promoting youth sector for the development of the nation

The International Youth Day 2026 celebration was held at MICC-1 in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday, with the aim of recognizing and encouraging the capabilities, talents, and potential of youths across the world and promoting their greater engagement in achieving diverse goals. In his remarks, Union Minister for Youth Affairs Dr. Maung Thin highlighted the definition of youths, who are the future leaders of the nation, endowed with wisdom and vision and full with unwavering determinations to bring innovative changes for a better society.

He encouraged them to continue turning their dreams, aspirations, innovative ideas, and challenges into creative opportunities in order to build a strong nation with shared future. Next, the discussion entitled “ Promoting Youth Sector for the Development of the Nation” was conducted with the active participation of enthusiastic youth representatives. Following this, the Union Minister presented honorary awards to the participants, winners of essay competition and performance groups.
