Myanmar / Viet Nam: Meeting for agriculture and livestock sector

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung received a delegation led by the Ambassador of Viet Nam to Myanmar Mr. Nguyen Anh Ducat his office in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday afternoon.

During the meeting, both sides held talks on enhancing bilateral cooperation in agriculture and rural development, as well as coordinating practical action plans suited to current conditions to achieve mutual benefits.

Discussions also focused on exchanging expertise and technology in the aquaculture sector, specifically regarding shrimp breeding and hatchery operations, advanced farming methods, biosecurity measures, and disease control for fish and shrimp. Furthermore, the two sides deliberated on promoting investment opportunities in animal feed production and livestock enterprises, alongside joint initiatives in agricultural and livestock research, technology transfer, and human resource development.
