Australia, Vietnam agree to deepen comprehensive strategic partnership

Australia and Viet Nam said they have agreed to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership following a meeting between Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and President To Lam in Canberra on Tuesday.

Albanese and Lam said in a joint statement after meeting at Parliament House that the two nations will boost their economic and defense ties to enhance the comprehensive partnership. The statement said that both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to an open, inclusive, fair and rules-based multilateral trading system.
