Electrical Skill Basic Training : MOIMSMED UM delivered opening remarks

The opening ceremony of Electrical Skill Basic Training Course No. (1/2026) was held on August 3 at the Electrical Inspection Training Hall in Kyaik Waing, Mayangone Township, Yangon Region.

The ceremony was attended via Virtual system from Meeting Hall of Office No. (30), by Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than, who delivered the opening address. In his speech, the Union Minister stated that this course is designed to provide trainees with knowledge and understanding of fundamental electrical concepts, electricity laws, electrical regulations, and legal procedures related to electricity, to enable them to carry out electrical work more competently and safely, to increase employment opportunities; and to contribute to human resource development.

He elaborated on these objectives accordingly. The Electrical Skill Basic Training Course No. (1/2026) will have 85 trainees participating. The training will be conducted over a period of six weeks, from August 3 to September 11, 2026, covering 19 subjects.

The instruction will be delivered by inspectors and inspection staff from the Electrical Inspection Department, who have practical experience in electrical worksites, academic fields, and inspection operations.
