








Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myo Zaw Thein visited Zaung Chaung Kone Village in Nga Kaung Kan  village tract, Pyinmana Township, on the morning of August 3.
At the village hall, he met with farmer cooperative members and local villagers. During the meeting, township Chief officers from the Cooperative Department and the Rural Development Department presented updates on their respective activities.
Following the presentations, the Union Minister delivered guiding remarks and provided coordinated support to address the operational needs raised by the farmer cooperative members and villagers. Subsequently, the Union Minister inspected the pig farming project being carried out under the Emerald Village Project Fund, the cooperative-system buffalo farming project under the Rural Business Fund (RBF) Establishment Project, and the "Khaing Ma " tailoring business operated on a self-reliant basis by trainees who had successfully completed a sewing course conducted under the Small-Scale Industries Department's project.
The Union Minister made necessary coordination and arrangements during the inspections.
The Union Minister also attended and delivered the opening speech at the workshop on "Achieving a Robust Cooperative-based Economy and Rural Socio-economic Development through Group Systems," held for the Cooperative based Rural Development (CBRD) initiative at the joint meeting hall of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development.
In addition, the Union Minister visited Wanna Siddhi Sports Ground to watch and cheer for the competing teams representing the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development and the Ministry of Labour in the 2026 Inter-Ministerial Futsal Tournament.
