World Cosplay Summit holds final summer edition in Japan

The World Cosplay Summit held its final summer event in Nagoya, Japan from July 31 to August 2, 2026, with participants from over 40 countries. During the event, cosplayers fill the streets, while visitors and local residents come together to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

The sight of characters seemingly stepping out of anime and game worlds and into the city is one of the most memorable aspects of the World Cosplay Summit. Starting in 2027, the festival will move to November to protect attendees from severe summer heat.
