Jakarta MRT introduces contactless credit card payments

A contactless credit card payment system was officially launched at MRT Bundaran HI Station in Central Jakarta. The new system, the first of its kind in Indonesia, allows passengers to tap in and tap out using eligible contactless credit cards.

The service enables commuters to pay their fares with Visa and Mastercard credit cards that support contactless technology, eliminating the need for a dedicated transit card. The feature is available to both local residents and international visitors, making access to the MRT more convenient.
