Senegalese President visits Mali, reaffirms determination to fight terrorism

Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye visited Mali on Wednesday, meeting with Malian Transitional President General Assimi Goitain Bamako. Faye offered unequivocal condemnation of attacks against Malian authorities and pledged that Senegal stands ready to support Mali against cross-border extremist threats.

Discussions also prioritized trade and transport along the vital Dakar-Bamako corridor alongside monetary and water resource management cooperation.
