Investment and Economic Opportunities: Myanmar-Japan Business Forum in Yangon

The Myanmar-Japan Business Forum, held at the Myanmar Convention Center in Mayangone Township, focused on investment and economic opportunities.

Officials from the ministries presented opportunities in agriculture, labor, trade, and investment, explaining policies and support for Japanese businesses. Private sector leaders also highlighted prospects in Myanmar’s economy and the Thilawa Special Economic Zone.

The Japanese entrepreneur shared views on investment cooperation, followed by a panel discussion. During the forum, the MoUs were signed between Myanmar and Japanese companies, covering agriculture, carbon projects, and banking. Signatories included Wakema Trading, Fruit World Foundation, Double Island MS, Green Carbon, Myanmar Paddy Producer Association, and Myanmar Tourism Bank. Union Ministers U Aung Kyaw Hoe, Dr. Kan Zaw, Dr. Charlie Than, U Khin Maung Soe, and U Tun Ohn attended the forum, along with officials, Myanmar business leaders, and Japanese delegates including INGO Peace Chairman Mr. Nakazawa Hiroyuki.
