Turkish stone artist Dursun Köroğlu is bringing ancient wonders back to life through his detailed marble creations.
Inspired by Anatolia’s rich history, Köroğlu has spent more than 50 years transforming natural stone into artworks displayed in museums and cultural centres. He has recreated famous monuments including the Temple of Artemis, Altar of Zeus, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, and Temple of Apollo. Recognized by UNESCO as a Living Human Treasure, Köroğlu is now working on a miniature version of the Library of Celsus in Ephesus. The 1,900-year-old landmark is being carefully carved in marble at a 1:15 scale, with every detail taking months of dedicated work.
