Heavy rainfall causes localized flooding in Turkiye's capital

Several roads left underwater and vehicles submerged by the floods, after orange and yellow-coded warnings have been issued for 35 provinces across Turkiye on Saturday. People have been advised to take precautions against adverse conditions such as flooding, lightning, and strong winds.

The heavy rainfall is expected to affect the Marmara region and Central Anatolia, including Istanbul. In the capital Ankara, the downpour began during the night and intensified in the early hours of the morning.
