Women Empowerment : 5th Annual General Meeting of MYAN-WEN

The 5th Annual General Meeting of the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MYAN-WEN) was held at Sedona Hotel in Yangon on Saturday. Union Minister for Women’s Affairs Dr. Thet Thet Zin attended the event, and made a speech.

She praised MYAN-WEN for supporting women entrepreneurs over the past five years, especially in developing MSMEs and contributing to social and economic growth. The Union Minister highlighted that MSMEs are vital for innovation, competitiveness, and national development.

She emphasized that women’s leadership in business not only increases income but also improves family life, education, health, and long-term progress. She also stressed the importance of empowering rural women, who make up 70% of Myanmar’s population, through education, health, and participation in small businesses.

Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than, U Aye Win, Chairman of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and MYAN-WEN Chairperson Dr. Su Hla Han, also delivered speeches.
