Amyotha Hluttaw Session : 21st day meeting held in Nay Pyi Taw

The 21st day meeting of the second regular session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

Hluttaw representatives raised questions regarding plans for ensuring the accuracy of electricity bills, and opening more counters for meter bill payments in Sagaing Township, and introducing a solar-powered water supply system in Minbu Township.

The questions were answered by Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aye Kyaw. The session also discussed the Seventh Amendments to the Amyotha Hluttaw Election Law and the Region and State Hluttaw Election Law. In addition, the proposal urging the Union Government to amend the Farmland Bylaws was discussed. The 22nd day meeting of the Amyotha Hluttaw will continue on July 27.
