The royal white elephant "Rahta Nandaka" is now four years old. He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall, has a girth of 8 feet 2 inches, and weighs about 1,775 pounds.

Rahta Nandaka was born on July 23, 2022, to a 33-year-old female elephant named Zar Nan Hla, who is kept by the Myanma Timber Enterprise in Taungup Township, Rakhine State. At birth, he measured 2 feet 5 inches in height, had a girth of 3 feet 1 inch, and weighed about 180 pounds.

Out of the eight characteristics of white elephants, he meets seven unique features, including pearl-colored eyes, a plantain branch-shaped back, white hair, a distinctive tail, auspicious marks on the skin, reddish-brown or pinkish skin, five claws on the front legs and four on the back legs, and large ears. Rahta Nandaka lives happily with his mother at the Royal White Elephant Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.

As a white elephant raised alongside people, he is being nurtured through "Peace Human and Elephant Interaction Training" to become more accustomed to human interaction.
