Azalea Stars Make History: Winning Grand Prize at World Cultural Dance Festival 2026

Myanmar has earned international recognition after winning the highest honor at the 14th World Cultural Dance Festival held in South Korea.

The Myanmar dance team, Azalea Stars, impressed judges with a captivating cultural performance, bringing home the Grand Prize among participants from around the world. The team arrived back in Yangon on Wednesday. Hosted by the International Youth Fellowship, or IYF, the annual festival brought together performers from different countries to celebrate cultural diversity through traditional music and dance.

Representing Myanmar, the Azalea Stars delivered a vibrant performance showcasing the country's rich cultural heritage, traditional costumes, and artistic excellence. The Azalea Stars won the Bronze Prize in 2023, the Silver Prize in 2024, the Gold Prize in 2025, and have now claimed the Grand Prize in 2026, demonstrating their continuous growth and dedication to excellence.
