Monsoon Season Mass Tree Planting: AYA Region CM led the planning of teakwood trees

The 2026 monsoon season mass tree-planting ceremony was held Tuesday afternoon in the village of A-pin Hnit Sal Bu-tar-su Village, Kyaunggone Township, Kyonbyaw District, Ayeyawady Region. The Region Chief Minister, U Aye Kyaw, along with responsible officials, participated in the planting.

The Region Chief Minister stated that in order for the planted trees to thrive and grow successfully, ongoing maintenance activities such as watering, weeding, and mounding soil must be carried out continuously. Only then will all the trees that are planted be able to survive and grow. He therefore urged the local villagers to take care of and maintain the trees.

Afterward, the Region Chief Minister, the Patron of the Region Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committee, and responsible officials distributed the saplings to be planted. The Region Chief Minister then led the planting of 416 premium grade teakwood trees collectively. The Region Chief Minister and officials also toured the collective tree-planting activities to offer encouragement and presented cash awards to the entertainment troupe, it’s reported.
