





Urea fertilizer produced from No. 5 Fertilizer Plant is sold to farmers at subsidized prices, making it more affordable than the market price and providing significant benefits to the agricultural sector.
Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy U Kyaw Naing Win made a remark during his inspection on the production operations at Plant, operated by Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise, in Kangyidaunt Township, Ayeyawady Region, on Sunday. The Deputy Minister urged factory staff to continue working together to increase production and ensure the factory's long-term success.
He also stressed the importance of a stable supply of natural gas and electricity for continuous production and called for coordination to meet the technical and equipment requirements needed to upgrade the power transmission system. Since starting operations in 2011, the factory has produced nearly 700,000 tonnes of urea fertilizer.
