Arms for Peace: 41 KPMF and KNLA members rejoin legal fold

41 members of the Kayin Peace Monitoring Force (KPMF) and the KNLA have re-entered the legal fold, surrendering weapons and ammunition during a ceremony held at the Southeastern Command headquarters.

The group handed over several firearms, grenades, communication equipment, and ammunition before being transferred to their parents or guardians. Cash rewards and assistance totaling more than 38.25 million kyats were also provided. According to the report, the 41 individuals came from Kayin and Mon States, Yangon, Sagaing, Mandalay, and Bago Regions. Officials said support would continue for others who choose to rejoin the legal process.
