Netanyahu attends ceremony marking 50 years since Israel's Uganda hostage-rescue mission

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended a state ceremony in Jerusalem marking 50 years since the Entebbe hostage-rescue mission in Uganda, in which his elder brother, Yonatan, who led the operation, was killed. 

The Entebbe raid has deep personal significance for Benjamin Netanyahu. His older brother, Lt. Col. Yonatan (Yoni) Netanyahu, commanded the elite Sayeret Matkal assault unit during the 1976 raid in Uganda and was the only Israeli soldier killed during the mission.
