Iranian military spokesman urges US to abide by MOU

Iranian military spokesman Mohammad Akraminia on Sunday urged US to fully comply with the terms of the June Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). US carried out strikes in southern Iran and revoked temporary licenses that allowed Iranian oil exports. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting US military bases across the Gulf.

Iranian officials stated that they will only abide by the truce if the US fulfills its obligations, warning that their armed forces have fully prepared to defend themselves. The attacks prompted countries across the Gulf to activate their air defense systems and sound warning sirens.
