Erdogan says ready to help clear mines in Hormuz, stresses two-state solution

At the Wednesday’s opening session of NATO summit in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said his country is ready to contribute to clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz, as part of broader diplomatic efforts to address the Iran crisis.

He also thanked NATO allies including the United States, Spain, Germany and Italy for deploying additional air defence systems against missile threats targeting Türkiye. Erdogan also emphasize that the key to lasting peace in the Middle East is a two-state solution.and called for calm in Gaza and Lebanon.
