Finnish President Meets Erdoğan Ahead of NATO Summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Finnish President Alexander Stubb in Ankara on Tuesday ahead of the NATO summit.

Later in the day, President Stubb is scheduled to attend a dinner hosted by President Erdoğan and First Lady for Heads of State, government leaders, and their spouses. Finland, which became a full member of NATO in 2023, is taking part in the alliance's 2026 summit. The meeting will focus on implementing defense spending commitments agreed at last year's summit in The Hague and on expanding defense industrial production.
