Iranian president and top officials pay respects at Khamenei's remains

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Friday paid his respects at the remains of supreme leader Ali Khamenei, alongside other officials as a seven-day state funeral commenced.

The ceremony, held at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran, included senior figures such as Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The gathering took place ahead of sweeping nationwide processions and tributes from international delegations representing more than 100 countries.
