Iranian foreign minister begins official visit to Iraq

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi heads to Baghdad on Sunday for an official visit to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments, while also coordinating arrangements for funeral ceremonies at Iraq’s holy shrines.

According to a post on social media, the foreign minister will hold talks with senior Iraqi officials on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments during the visit. The trip will also include coordination with Iraqi authorities on arrangements for the funeral ceremonies of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution at the holy shrines in Iraq.
