Meeting with the Families: Meeting with Tatmadawmen in Malamyine

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) General Kyaw Swar Lin met with military officers, Tatmadawmen and families of Mawlamyine Station at the Southeast Command Headquarters on Thursday.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief noted that elections were held in late 2025 and early 2026, resulting in the formation of a new government, which is now working for national stability and development. He added that the Tatmadaw continues to carry out national defence duties under the government's guidance.

He also pointed out that the involvement of some ethnic armed groups and PDF forces in illegal trade, resource smuggling, online scams and gambling activities, and stressed that the government and Tatmadaw are cooperating with neighboring countries and international organizations to combat these crimes.

He emphasized the need for a strong and capable Tatmadaw through continuous training, professional development, good leadership and unity within the armed forces. He also urged Tatmadawmen and their families to prioritize education, health, discipline and responsible financial management to contribute to national development and security.

After the meeting, foodstuff, books and periodicals and cash assistance were provided for the military officers, Tatmadawmen and families as well as for the maternal and child welfare association.

In the afternoon, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief and party visited the local military hospital and comforted the patients, providing foods and cash assistance. Then, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief and party took a tour around the military station by a motorcade.
