Ceremony of Honoring Athletes: Kachin State CM delivered congratulatory speech

A ceremony to honor the athletes who secured third place as the Kachin State representative team in the 2026 Region and State U-25 Women's Volleyball Competition, as well as those who won awards in the age-category badminton tournament "Gods Master Challenge," was held by the State Government on June 24 in the Mekha Hall of the State Government Office.

At the honoring ceremony, the State Chief Minister, U Khet Hein Nan, delivered a congratulatory speech.

Following this, the volleyball coach explained the experiences from the competition and the medal achievements. The Chief Minister then presented a cash award of 3.5 million kyats to the State volleyball team and half million kyats to Ma Yan Shi La Mi မ, who received the Best Blocker, Youngest Player, and Most Improved Rising Star awards throughout the tournament.

Additionally, 2 million kyats was presented to two female badminton players who won individual age-category medals, and half million kyats to a male badminton player who won a bronze medal. The State Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation also presented a cash award of 2.6 million kyats, and donors presented additional cash of honor. In response, one of the award-winning volleyball players expressed words of gratitude, and the event concluded with a tea reception in their honor, it’s reported.
