Monsoon Tree Planting : Collective tree planting held in Hopong

The Department of Forestry's collective tree-planting ceremony for the monsoon season was held on Thursday near Nam Baw Hune နမ့်ဗော်ဟွန်း Village, Hopong ဟိုပုံး Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South).

At the tree-planting event, the Chairman of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Leading Body, U Khun Phoe Sein, delivered an opening speech. Together with members of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Leading Body, the Acting Commandant and responsible officials from the Tatmadaw Computer and Technology Institute, the chairman and members of the Township Administration Boday, district and township-level departmental officials, local units and battalions, the Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association and women's affairs association, social organizations, and local residents, a total of (1,200) saplings including Khartawmi, Cherry, Royal Poinciana, Pine, Orasia, and Pyi Lone Chan Thar species were joyfully planted in a collective effort, it’s reported.
