Receiving Ambassador of India : Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker received Indian Ambassador

Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker and Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw U Aung Lin Dwe received the Ambassador of India to Myanmar, Mr. Abhay Thakur, at the Amyotha Hluttaw guest hall in the Hluttaw complex in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, the two sides cordially discussed strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries without losing momentum, sending Hluttaw representatives and Hluttaw office staff to India for capacity-building training programs, cooperation in diplomatic and legal affairs between Myanmar and India, enhancing cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, and exchanging legislative experiences.

Also attending the meeting together with the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker and Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw were Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker Jeng Phang Naw Taung, the chairman and secretary of the International Relations Committee, officials from the Amyotha Hluttaw Office, and officials from the Indian Embassy.
