Myanmar-India : VP U Nyo Saw received Ambassador of India

Vice President U Nyo Saw received a delegation led by the Ambassador of India to Myanmar, Mr. Abhay Thakur, on Wednesday afternoon at the reception hall of the President’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, the two sides held friendly and open discussions on matters including maintaining peace and stability along the border between the two countries and expanding bilateral trade, prospects for investment by Indian investors in Myanmar, the successful implementation of projects that would not only enhance bilateral trade but also support the ASEAN–India Economic Corridor; development of banking systems in both countries and broader cooperation across multiple sectors.

Also present at the meeting alongside the Vice President were Deputy Minister U Khin Latt from the President’s Office, Deputy Minister U Ko Ko Kyaw from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other officials. The Indian Ambassador was accompanied by officials from the Embassy of India in Myanmar.
