People in Gaza are calling for international help to improve humanitarian conditions as Israeli forces push deeper into residential areas.

Even after the ceasefire went into effect in October, Israeli forces remained and now control around 60 percent of Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in May ordered that increased to 70 percent to put pressure on the Islamic group Hamas.

Israeli forces demarcate their area of control with what is called the Yellow Line. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said on Saturday that yellow concrete blocks had been placed in northern Gaza City. Arab media outlets report that as a result, the Yellow Line moved hundreds of meters, forcing many families to relocate.
