









An awareness briefing and discussion on anti-corruption, jointly organized by the Ministry of Construction and the Anti-Corruption Commission, was held in the morning on June 22, at the Ministry of Construction's assembly hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
The event was attended by Union Minister U Myo Thant, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission U Soe Thein, and responsible officials. First, Union Minister U Myo Thant delivered the opening speech, followed by remarks from Chairman U Soe Thein of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
During the session, Director U Thein Htike Win from the Anti-Corruption Commission office provided clarifications on matters related to corruption prevention, while Director-General U Kaung Zaw Thant discussed the Anti-Corruption Law. Attendees then raised questions on issues they wished to know more about, and the officials provided responses accordingly.
Subsequently, led by Anti-Corruption Commission member U Toe Yi, a meeting was held with the Corruption Prevention Units (CPUs) from the Ministry of Construction. Discussions covered the experiences encountered in the operations of the Corruption Prevention Units, their strengths and weaknesses, and assessment reports on related matters, it’s reported.
