Special Refresher Course for Teachers: UCSB Chairman delivered the opening address

The opening ceremony of Special Refresher Course No. (114) for Basic Education Teachers was held Monday at 8:00 a.m. at the Yadanar Theinga Hall of the Civil Service Academy (Lower Myanmar). The event was attended by Chairman of Union Civil Service Board, U Tin Maung Win, who delivered the opening speech.

In his opening address, UCSB Chairman, stated that education personnel are also required to participate in the new government's initiatives for the benefit of the people. He emphasized that teachers must guide students toward intellectual excellence and ensure they stay on the right path.

He also urged that special attention be given to providing educational opportunities through Placement Test (Special Program) for students who have dropped out of school for various reasons.A total of 492 trainees are attending the course, which will be conducted over a period of five weeks, from June 22, to July 24.

Subsequently, the UCSB Chairman inspected the ongoing lectures and training sessions of Officer Trainee (Special) Course No. (15) and Junior Officer Course No. (136), the unarmed combat drill lessons of Basic Officer Course No. (226) and Intermediate Officer Course No. (15), the Academy's agricultural and livestock activities, the self-reliance pre-primary school, the Academy's hospital and the trainees' dining halls.

He then had lunch together with the trainees from Special Refresher Course No. (114) for Basic Education Teachers at the Sabai Hall dining facility.

Afterward, the Chairman held a meeting with the Rector, Pro-Rector, and officials from the Academy's academic and administrative departments in the academy’s meeting hall, where he provided guidance and directives on training and administrative matters, it’s reported.
