Order No.57/2026 : Appointment of Security and Border Affairs Minister

President's Office issued an Order No.57/2026 on June 21, regarding the appointment of Security and Border Affairs Minister.

According to Section 262(a), Sub-Section-2, and Section 262(b, e, and f), and Section 264(c) of the Constitution, Section 19(c) and Section 82(c) of the Union Government Law, and Section 8(a), Sub-Section-2, Section 8(b, f, and g) and Section 56(a) of the Region or State Government Law, Col. Yan Gyi Aung of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office was appointed as the Security and Border Affairs Minister of Tanintharyi Region. The former minister Col. Thein Zaw Myint was granted to serve his original military duties. The order was signed by U Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
