










Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw attended the opening ceremony of the ASEAN-China Economic Development Center in Zhengzhou of Henan Province in China, on June 17.
During the visit, he joined officials from China and ASEAN member states in touring food and agricultural exhibitions. The Deputy Minister also attended the 2026 ASEAN-China Culture and Food Festival, where he highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation in culture, agriculture, food security, and trade between ASEAN and China.
The Deputy Minister said Myanmar has strong potential to produce high-quality agricultural, livestock, and fishery products and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in modern agriculture, value-added food processing, and agricultural technology. He also visited the Henan Modern Agriculture Research and Development Base to study agricultural research projects and crop cultivation techniques.
In addition, the Deputy Minister met with officials from the North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power to discuss cooperation in water resource management, irrigation, flood control, hydropower, and human resource development.
The Deputy Minister later visited Mixue Group and Jujube Company, to learn about value-added food production, supply chains, and international market expansion.
