Türkiye and Germany discussed visas and customs cooperation

Turkiye Trade Minister Ömer Bolat met with German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche in Ankara. The meeting was held as part of the sixth term of the Joint Economic and Trade Commission, known as JETCO.

Bolat said the talks focused on easing visa procedures and updating the Customs Union between Türkiye and the European Union. He noted that the German side clearly expressed its support for the modernization of the Customs Union. The ministers also discussed ways to further strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Türkiye and Germany.
