Visiting Lingang Special Area: President visited Shanghai Lingang Special Area

At the invitation of President Mr. Xi Jinping, President U Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently on a state visit to PRC, visited the Shanghai Lingang Special Area on Thursday afternoon.

First, the President, accompanied by members of the delegation and officials, arrived at the Dishui Cloudhall Planning Exhibition Centre in the Shanghai Lingang Special Area, where Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee Mr. Zhao Yi Huai and responsible officials warmly welcomed them.

Afterwards, inside the Exhibition Centre, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and officials explained the development progress of the Lingang Special Area and presented a documentary video clip on its development. The President and delegation then toured the Exhibition Centre, observing displays and models showing the geographical overview and historical development of the Lingang Special Area, the construction of the deep-water port and Lingang Industrial Zone, cooperation projects between Tesla and SAIC Motor, as well as aerospace technology equipment.

The President also asked questions and held discussions regarding the presentations made by officials. After that, the Myanmar high-level delegation led by the President departed from Hongqiao Railway Station to Hangzhou East Railway Station aboard High-Speed Railway G23. Officials, including the Vice Mayor of Shanghai, saw them off. During the high-speed train journey from Shanghai to Hangzhou, the President observed developments in the railway transportation system, urban development and construction projects, agricultural activities, the use of green energy, infrastructure development projects, and the scenic beauty along the railway route.

The Myanmar high-level delegation led by the President later arrived at Hangzhou East Railway Station in Hangzhou, where the Vice Mayor of Hangzhou and responsible officials welcomed them.
