Meeting with Departmental Officials: MOI UM held meeting with departmental officials

Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin on Wednesday met with the staff from Information and Public Relation Department, Printing and Publishing Department, Department of Media Development and News and Periodicals Enterprise at the assembly hall of Printing and Publishing Department in Botahtaung Township, Yangon.

Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister instructed for providing accurate information to the public on country’s working processes through reliable resources. The Union called for collective efforts of all stakeholders in implementing government’s development plans for the nation’s benefits.

Prior to the meeting, the Union Minister met with the Chairman of Myanmar Media Council Dr. Tin Tun Oo and council members at the meeting hall of Printing and Publishing Department to discuss matters on combating fake and false news, plans to draft Media Law and conducting media workshops and meetings. On the reports by the council chairman and members, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions and delivered concluding remark, it’s reported.
