Meeting with NPC Chairman: President held meeting with NPC Chairman

At the invitation of President Mr. Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, President U Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently on a State Visit to the People’s Republic of China, met and held discussions Tuesday afternoon with Mr. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China, at the reception hall of the Great Hall of the People.

During the meeting, the President and the NPC Chairman exchanged views on matters relating to deepening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, expanding bilateral trade and investment, cooperating in efforts to combat online fraud and gambling activities, and collaborating in drug prevention and anti-narcotics operations.

They also discussed the ongoing peace processes aimed at further strengthening cooperation for stability and security in the border regions between the two countries. At the conclusion of the meeting, the President and the NPC Chairman warmly exchanged farewells, it’s reported.
