31st Anniversary of MOIP: MOIP UM delivered the commemorative address

The 31st Anniversary Ceremony of the Ministry of Immigration and Population, which falls on June 15, 2026, was held Monday at the Ministry’s office in Nay Pyi Taw.

First, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing delivered a commemorative address. He then presented certificates of honor and cash awards to recipients of the Government’s Outstanding Performance (Second Class) medals. The Deputy Minister and responsible officials also awarded certificates of honor and cash prizes to recipients of various state honors, including the Outstanding Performance (Third Class) and Technical Excellence (Third Class) medals, the Social Excellence (Second Class) medal, and the Police Gallantry medal. Following this, three officials who received “Best Trainee Awards” from civil service training courses conducted at Civil Service Academies during the 2025–2026 academic year were recognized.

They are Assistant Immigration Officer U Zaw Htet Aung, Daw Su Thet Tin, and Departmental Clerk U Aung Thu Htwe. The Union Minister conferred upon them higher ranks, Deputy Immigration Officer and Office Superintendent level positions along with official appointment orders, certificates of honor, and cash awards, it’s reported.
