Meeting with Staff of GNLM Office: MOI UM met with staff of GNLM daily newspaper office

Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin met with staff members of The Global New Light of Myanmar daily newspaper at its office in Bahan Township, Yangon on Monday.

During the meeting, the Union Minister emphasized the importance of publishing credible, knowledge-rich news and expanding readership through both print and digital platforms.  He highlighted the importance of increasing reader engagement rather than focusing solely on profit generation.

He also encouraged wider distribution of the newspaper to schools and libraries to promote access to information and knowledge. The Chief Editor and editorial team members then discussed the instructions and provided suggestions. After the meeting, the Union Minister inspected the printing press, the Computer-to-Plate (CTP) room and the typesetting room, it’s learnt.
