Sports Activities: Inter-University football, volleyball and futsal tournaments

2025–2026 Yangon Zone Inter-University, Degree Colleges Men’s and Women’s football, volleyball and futsal tournaments commenced at Yangon University on Sunday.

Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech. Athletes from the participating teams took the sports oath during the ceremony.

The Chief Minister later presented cash rewards for the competitions and the Drum and Bugle Corps troupe.

The Chief Minister and party then enjoyed the men’s volleyball match between the National Management Degree College Team and the West Yangon University Team. The tournaments involve seven teams and 314 athletes and will take place from June 14 to 19.
