Development Projects: Rehabilitation measures of Loikaw

Kayah State Chief Minister U Aunt Maw and officials visited Narnattaw Ward in Loikaw Township on Sunday to inspect rehabilitation and development projects for returning displaced residents.

During their visit, they inspected an Assumption Church that had been damaged due to terrorist attacks and instructed to carry out urgent repairs for the swift resumption of religious activities. They also met with church bishop and instructed for adequate drinking water supply for the returnees in the area.

They then proceeded to the Kayah State Cultural Museum and reviewed exhibits on Kayah ethnic culture and instructed the restoration and systematic display of damaged cultural heritage items.

The Chief Minister later inspected ongoing renovation works, including a brick pond and two-storey staff housing project funded under the 2025–2026 Union budget and instructed for timely work completion, meeting the set standards.
