MOEE Announcement: Notice for temporary power shut down

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced temporary power outages in several townships in Yangon to facilitate maintenance work on the 33 KV Khanaungto and 33 KV Myo Yone (1) power lines connected to the 230 kV Kanaung Main Substation.

The work, which includes switch-bay maintenance and tree clearance along power lines, is aimed at strengthening the power distribution network and preventing unexpected outages.

Electricity supply will be suspended from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on June 15th in wards and villages of Seikkyi Kanaungto and Dala Townships, and from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on June 30th, in Industrial Zones (1) and (2), NyaungYwar and Dai Su wards.

According to the Ministry, the affected consumers have been notified in advance through the relevant township electrical engineering offices as part of ongoing efforts to ensure a stable and reliable power supply nationwide.
