Two UK ministers quit in defence spending row piling pressure on Starmer

British Defence Secretary and Armed Forces Minister resigned over military funding, dealing a massive blow to Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Both accused the Prime Minister of failing to provide the resources the armed forces need, warning the proposed budget risks making the UK "less safe”. Following this, Starmer quickly named Dan Jarvis, a former army officer and security minister, as the new Defence Secretary.
