Tyrannosaurus rex leather handbag up for auction in Paris

A handbag, crafted from a biocomposite material which, according to its creators, is made from traces of collagen found in a Tyrannosaurus rex femur in the United States, is being auctioned at the Drouot auction house in Paris. The unique piece, estimated at between €300,000 and €500,000, was first presented to the public in April at the Museum of Artistic Taxidermy in the Netherlands. The unique item will go on sale on Thursday, 11 June.
