Palestinian ministers warn of worsening health crisis

Palestinian ministers address foreign and Arab diplomats in Ramallah, warning that hospitals in Gaza and the West Bank are struggling as medicine stocks fall below emergency thresholds. 

Majed Abu Ramadan, Palestinian Health Minister said "Today, we call upon the international community to act with urgency and determination to rescue the Palestinian health sector and to protect the right to health for the Palestinian people. We call for the immediate release of all withheld Palestinian clearance revenues and emergency financial support to sustain essential health services."

More than 726 medicines and medical consumables have either reached zero stock levels or fallen below emergency stock thresholds", with nearly half of oncology medications unavailable, the Minister added.
