On Sunday, the elite unit touched down at Stewart Air National Guard Base, located in Newburgh, New York—roughly 60 miles north of Manhattan.

The transatlantic deployment group arrived at the 105th Airlift Wing's base for refueling and logistics setup. The impressive fleet consists of the agile, twin-engine jet trainers painted in the striking blue, white, and red of the French flag.

Large military cargo aircraft carrying support personnel, equipment, and spare parts. To honor America's upcoming semi-quincentennial, the Alpha Jets feature unique custom tail fins painted with the American flag on one side and the French flag on the other. The tour is a high-profile diplomatic and military nod to the historic alliance between France and the United States.
