Regional Development: Mon State Chief Minister tours in Thahton

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Win Than and officials on Sunday made a tour in Thahton township to inspect regional development works.

At Rubber-based integrated farm in Thuwannawady, they observed the thriving of trees including rubber, durian and mango. The Chief Minister stressed to produce quality saplings, conduct awareness measures regarding the cultivating techniques and results of apply research.

At Naungkalar Village, the Chief Minister and party observed providing National Identity Cards and UID for the people under the 100-day plan of government's Lamin Project conducted by the Ministry of Immigration and Population. They also inspected preparation for School Enrollment in No-2 Basic Education High School and attended the discussion on matters regarding to increased enrollment of school-going-aged children and grading system.

Later, they inspected the upgrading status of Thahtone-Mawlamyine railway section from Thahtone to YinNyain stations and instructed the necessaries.
