Thousands of people gathered on Jindo Island in southern South Korea for the “Jindo Miracle Sea Road Festival,” where an extreme low tide exposes a temporary land bridge across the sea. Visitors took part in activities such as digging for clams and collecting seaweed on the exposed mudflats during the brief period when the sea recedes, allowing walking access between islands. The event draws both domestic and international visitors and is associated with the seasonal tidal conditions that periodically reveal the temporary sea crossing.

Nicole Richer, English Teacher said  "I think just the entire hype around it, everybody getting into the mood of it, and the experience of being able to walk across and picking shells I think is also quite unique."

Each year, the natural phenomenon often referred to as Korea’s “Miracle Sea Road, lasts for about an hour before the tide returns and submerges the pathway. The festival, now in its 46th edition, is scheduled to run from April 17 to April 20.
